Counselling is short-term talk therapy that focuses on a current problem or situation. In our counselling session, we will focus on exploring strategies you can use to help you deal with whatever if going on currently for you. This can be a personal challenge, relationship difficulty, managing unpleasant feelings and emotions or work-related stress, managing unhelpful thinking patterns or learning coping strategies. Counselling sessions can be a once-off, or 10 to 20 sessions.
Psychotherapy is long-term therapy, in psychotherapy sessions, we explore deep-seated patterns, past adverse experiences and trauma. We will explore your childhood experiences, attachment style, family tree, family dynamics, and relationships.
Both Counselling and Psychotherapy offer powerful tools to help you gain insight, feel empowered to make meaningful changes, cope with life's stressors, increase self-compassion and self-understanding.
