Relationship Counselling focuses on the relationship between two or more people. Unlike individual therapy where the focus is on the person (the person is the 'client'), in relationship counselling, the relationship is the 'client'.
I support people to understand how their communication styles, attachment styles, their behavior and past experiences are affecting the relationship.
I don't take sides, i provide a welcoming, non-judgmental, trauma-responsive and culturally sensitive environment for people to express and explore their thoughts, feelings and desires.
I bring the focus the relationship between the people involved in it and help them view their relationship as its own entity, to do this, i use more than just talk therapy, I draw from creative arts, body-based, mindfulness and therapeutic horticulture approaches.
